Good Luck!
LMS held its parent meetings on Monday, February 8, 2010. We would like to THANK the parents for coming out and supporting our 8th grade students as they received their laptops as part of the LMS Viking Laptop Academy for 09-10.
If any parent was unable to attend the sessions, please stop by LMS to sign the necessary paperwork so your student can receive his/her laptop as soon as possible. ALL students must have a parent/guardian sign before they are given a laptop to keep!
To learn more, please visit the LMS Viking Laptop Academy group page. You can locate it by clicking on the Departments, Clubs, & Other Areas tab on the left of this page. Then click on the Technology tab. You will then see a link to the group page.

Care Packages Sent to Troops
The Latta Middle School FCA wants to thank everyone for supporting the troops by sending in donations for the care packages!
LMS POP TAB CHALLENGE
For many years, the Ronald McDonald House Charities have housed the families of children being treated in hospitals. The families can stay at the House for a minimal fee, but are never turned away if they cannot pay. This is where the Pop Tab Program comes into play. Ronald McDonald House in Columbia accepts Pop Tab donations in order to recycle the pure aluminum for cash. The cash is used to offset the cost of running the House and housing families unable to pay. LMS is stepping up to the cause and collecting Pop Tabs in order to help those less fortunate. A little "friendly competition" helps make things more interesting! So pop those tabs and send them in to help your class, and many others, WIN, WIN, WIN! For more information on RMH Charities, please visit the website http://rmhc.org/.
