Free COVID-19 Testing
On Friday, May 29, from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m., CareSOUTH Carolina, in partnership with the SC DHEC, will provide FREE COVID-19 testing to ANYONE, with or without symptoms.
Tests will be throat swabs and done as a drive-through service at Latta High School. Access to the testing site will be from East Academy Street.
- Do NOT have to be a Dillon County resident
- Do NOT have to be a patient of CareSouth Carolina
- Results show CURRENT virus infection, not in the past
- No appointment necessary
- Test results back in 48 to 72 hours
4K and NEW 5K Student Registration for 2020-2021
We will be accepting 4K and 5K student registration at Latta Elementary School on May 7 and May 12-14 from 9 - 1 each day. This is only
for NEW students that have never attended Latta Elementary School before. You may PICK UP a registration packet from the school if you
are unable to print the forms on the website.
There will be a box under the breezeway marked COMPLETED REGISTRATION that you can place your registration form in once it is complete.
There will also be a box with BLANK registration forms so you can pick it up, complete at home and return to school.
At this time, parents are not allowed in the building to pick up or drop off registration forms.
Someone from the school will call to schedule your child for the DIAL 4 screening that will take place May 18-29.
Parents that want to fill out the registration forms for 4 year old kindergarten may do so by downloading and printing the 18 page document,
completing it and gathering the necessary documentation. The document is at this link:

Parents will also need to provide the following documentation for each child:
- Official Birth Certificate (blue card or green form)
- Social Security Card
- Current Immunization Record
- Medicaid Card
- Two proofs of residency that you reside within the Latta School District (current electric, water or land line phone bills, Driver's
license, property tax notice).
SCHOOLS CLOSED FOR REMAINDER OF SCHOOL YEAR (28 April 2020)
By order of Governor McMaster, all SC schools are closed to the students and public for the rest of this school year.
All school related activities are canceled for the rest of this school year except graduation.
The feeding program continues on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at the Latta Elementary School campus.
Hours for each day are 11 a.m. until noon,
and we will operate curbside pickup only.

SCHOOL OFFICE HOURS
Although schools remain closed to students, beginning 5 May, 2020, our facilities are open to staff on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays,
from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Staff should contact their principal or supervisor for more information. The public may contact the school via phone or e-mail during those times as the schools will remain closed to public visitation until further notice.
DISTRICT OFFICE HOURS
Effective 5 May, 2020, the Latta Schools district office will operate on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
The public may contact the district via phone or e-mail during those times as the district will remain closed to public visitation until further notice.
